Blackburn & Seafield Church
INTERESTING FACT
The first Church to be formed in Blackburn Village itself began in the year of our Lord 1820.
The Livingston Parish Minister called it a dissenting Chapel of the independent persuasion (a Chapel of the United Succession Church).

Whitburn Brucefield Church
INTERESTING FACT
The origins of Brucefield Church go back to 1766, when a Secession Church, a breakaway from the Parish Church, was formed. A Church was built at the junction of Longridge Road and Dixon Terrace, where today a memorial plaque marks the spot.

Whitburn South Church
INTERESTING FACT
History shows that the inhabitants of this district were always closely linked with the struggles of the church. Until the seventeenth century Whitburn consisted only of scattered cot-houses.
The covenanters, seeking shelter in the moss hag, sought food here.

Breich Valley Church
INTERESTING FACT
Breich Valley Parish Church was formed in February 2000 bringing together the three congregations of Longridge and Breich, Stoneyburn and Addiewell.
Land was purchased and a new building erected at number 5 Cannop Crescent in Stoneyburn with the manse being the old Stoneyburn manse at 49 Main Street.
